King's InterHigh pupil Jessica Jones was badly bullied at mainstream school. Since moving to King's InterHigh she has made lots of new friends and loves the flexibility King's InterHigh gives her to compete in beauty pageants and dance competitions all over the UK.

"It’s really good. My grades have improved, I have more time to do extra stuff – it’s amazing. I feel happy now, I can relax, I’m not on the edge all the time. I don’t hate going to school anymore."

What led to you joining King's InterHigh?

I got bullied really badly at public school. I’ve always wanted to do online school, so when mum found King’s InterHigh, we did lots of research, went to one of the online open days and found that they were really good and just sort of fell in love with it.

Has studying at King's InterHigh improved things?

It’s really good. My grades have improved, I have more time to do extra stuff – it’s amazing. I feel happy now, I can relax, I’m not on the edge all the time. I don’t hate going to school anymore. Waking up in the morning, it’s more like: ‘I’ve got geography today with my favourite teacher – yeahay!”

What’s one of your favourite aspects of studying at King's InterHigh?

I have a great relationship with the teachers. My geography teacher – I’ll message her at least twice a week about the homework and it’s fine to ask questions. They’re all really helpful and supportive. I don’t know why anyone would not turn up for class because it’s so enjoyable. All the lessons you’re all focused, you’re all interacting with each other, it’s great.

Any tips for potential King's InterHigh students?

Take time to get to know your way around the classrooms. Just go in with a positive mind and you’ll succeed and don’t be afraid to ask. Everyone is so helpful.
