Football athletes at IDA enjoy flexibility and freedom of academic learning with King’s InterHigh

Committed to helping football players reach their full potential across four countries, the International Development Academy (IDA) has engaged King’s InterHigh, the UK’s leading online school, to support the athletes’ academic growth.

IDA’s academies combine individual athletic development on the pitch with educational growth in the classroom. No matter where in the world they train, IDA students learn how to excel in and out of sports. The International Development Agency currently operates from four locations: Valencia, Spain; Rome, Italy; Boston, USA; and Reading, UK.

The partnership between King’s InterHigh and the International Development Agency will provide athletes at IDA with access to outstanding, flexible online IGCSE and A Level courses alongside their rigorous daily football training. Thanks to King’s InterHigh’s 16 years of expertise in online learning, IDA students can enjoy interactive and dynamic lessons anywhere in the world, all taught by passionate, qualified, expert teachers using the latest cutting-edge technologies.

An existing football athlete currently studying A Levels at King’s InterHigh said: “It meant I could balance my education and football career, and never miss out on a lesson. I’m looking forward to new levels of independence and freedom, plus the opportunity to get a better education.”

As the UK’s largest online school with an impressive academic track record of A Level results as well as Ivy League and Russell Group university admissions, King’s InterHigh is delighted to work alongside IDA to empower football players to achieve academic success while they pursue their passion.

Mr Gareth Lucas-Howells, Head of Education Partnerships at King’s InterHigh, commented: “We are delighted to be working with the IDA to complement the excellent work that they already do and to enable aspiring football athletes to have access to world-class IGCSE and A Level programmes. We have a wide variety of subjects at IGCSE and A Level that we feel the young athletes at IDA will enjoy learning and support their future careers, including Biology, Business, Media Studies, Physics, Psychology, and languages such as French, German and Spanish. We look forward to welcoming IDA’s athletes to King’s InterHigh.”

Rick Angelicola, IDA’s Director of International Business Development, commented: “In the course of our global outreach, a need to add IGSCE and A Levels have emerged. Partnering with King’s InterHigh not only meet our clientele demands, but also further boost our vision to deliver a holistic experience to our student-athletes”.
