King’s InterHigh offers online homeschooling support for parents and guardians who have decided to home educate their children. King’s InterHigh allows pupils to study the British curriculum, in full or in part, from home, anywhere in the world.
Live lessons are delivered by experienced and qualified teachers. Parents can also track their child’s progress via the school hub. We have helped many parents and their children who have opted for homeschooling with King’s InterHigh.
Why do parents and guardians decide to pursue home education for their children? It may be for philosophical or religious reasons, or their own positive experiences of home education.
Children may also start off in mainstream education but be taken out of school and educated at home this could be due to a child’s special needs, unhappiness or not coping with life at a large secondary school. Those pupils who want to get on with their work can also become very frustrated when other children misbehave in class.
Homeschooling is sometimes chosen when there is an unsatisfactory standard of teaching at school. Other times, it may be that you are unable to secure a place at your preferred school.
No matter the reason, we work alongside you to supply quality, online education to the comfort of your home.
Homeschooling parents often choose us for their child’s education for extra support with GCSEs or A Levels. Other parents have used our expertise for certain subjects that they may not have relevant knowledge in or resources to teach themselves.
King’s InterHigh is perfect for homeschooling as lessons can be accessed anywhere with an internet connection. Experienced teachers lead real-time, online lessons, where interaction is encouraged. Staff are also on hand to answer any questions you or your child may have.
Pupils studying our full curriculum study no more than two subjects a day. This consolidates learning and allows pupils to progress rapidly, freeing them up to pursue other interests with more energy.
Students learning from home can benefit from the support of our school community with a specialist three subject package in any year group, for students aged 7-18.
Online learning allows pupils to focus for the entire lesson, without the disruption often experienced in a traditional school.
All lessons are recorded and stored in our online archive which students can access 24/7. This is an excellent resource and makes it easy for home learning students to catch up following time off. It can also be used to prepare for future lessons and GCSE, AS and A Level exams.
Each pupil has a personal control panel. From here, they can access homeschooling resources and features such as a library, common room, clubs and societies. Parents can contact our staff at any time and keep an eye on their child’s progress through the parent portal.
King’s InterHigh provide homeschooling support for parents and guardians of primary, secondary and sixth form learners. Students who study at King’s InterHigh have access to the full curriculum of any subjects they are taking.

From August 2021, our policy on notifying local authorities has changed. It is the choice of parents or guardians to keep local authorities informed when students join or leave King’s InterHigh. This decision has been made to better accommodate families’ preferences, while continuing to endorse best practice guidelines. If a parent or guardian would like King’s InterHigh to notify local authorities, they should submit such a request in writing.
King’s InterHigh provides pupils with the opportunity to study the British curriculum anywhere in the world with an internet connection. Homeschooling is the practice of teaching your child at home, away from the traditional school environment. Tens of thousands of children in the UK are homeschooled every year, but the way home education works varies from household to household. Many parents teach alone, for example, while others prefer to band together in groups. Some choose to create their own scheme of learning, while others like to follow a homeschool curriculum within UK guidelines.
King’s InterHigh is a great option for homeschool parents who want their child to follow the national curriculum. With online learning, your child can work towards their GCSEs or A Levels with qualified and experienced teachers. Our school offers full-time support as well as partial support in specific subjects, from English to history to maths.
You do not need any qualifications to be a homeschool teacher. You also do not need to follow the national curriculum. However, you do need to provide some form of suitable schooling throughout the childhood.
If you do want your child to follow the national curriculum but you feel less confident teaching certain subjects, King’s InterHigh offers additional homeschool support. From Primary to Sixth Form, we have a range of core and additional classes to choose from, all with qualified teachers who can help your child achieve their exam goals.
According to homeschool laws in the UK, every parent has the right to home educate their children as long as they provide a suitable level of education from the age of five.
If your child is already enrolled at a traditional school, you must write to the headteacher and let them know that your child will be homeschooled from now on. The same goes if your child has been offered a school place but has not yet enrolled. In both cases, the headteacher is legally obligated to accept your decision and deregister your child from the school.
By law, you do not have to inform your local authority about your decision to homeschool in the UK, but you may choose to do so if you prefer. However, even if you do not contact the local authority yourself, they may still get in touch with you to confirm that you’re providing suitable education.
King’s InterHigh will not automatically inform your local authority when your child enrols with us, though we can do so on your behalf if you submit a request in writing.
Online educators can provide homeschool support to families in search of high-quality teaching and resources for GCSEs, A Levels, and a variety of Primary and Secondary subjects. Whether you’re looking for help with complex subjects or you need a better way to balance working from home and homeschooling, online education is a great way to supplement your homeschool program.
Homeschooling your child online couldn’t be simpler with the support of King’s InterHigh. Our experienced teachers lead live, online lessons, and all class recordings are available to rewatch 24/7. Interaction and socialisation are encouraged with teachers on hand to answer any questions pupils may have. Parents can check up on their child’s learning through our parent portal, and every pupil has access to a personal control panel with homeschooling resources, a library, clubs, and more.
While you can choose King’s InterHigh for full support in all subjects, you are also welcome to enrol your child in individual courses of your choice. With partial support, you can teach your own homeschool curriculum your way, resting assured that your child also has access to the UK curriculum with high-quality teaching.
