Fresh from shooting battle scenes in the hit HBO series, Game of Thrones, talented actress and InterHigh pupil Bella Ramsey was recently featured in an article with the Evening Standard.

Starring as Lady Lyanna Mormont in the popular series, Bella talks about the struggles of balancing her education with her dream career. The 15-year-old actress speaks about the positive effect InterHigh has had on her learning and day-to-day life.

After making the decision to leave mainstream schooling, Bella initially studied using traditional home study systems before eventually discovering InterHigh. Once she had enrolled in InterHigh, Bella reveals how the scheduled timetables and recorded lessons proved a real advantage to her learning. If she ever missed a lesson due to filming, she could simply catch up in her own time.

“It is incredibly flexible and incredibly accommodating, yet it has given me structure still, which I feel I very much need.”

Bella talks about her decision to leave mainstream schooling, explaining its tendency to “put everyone in a box,” leaving little room for individuality.

InterHigh has provided Bella with a renewed love of learning and has proven to her and her family that not all schooling systems are as limited as traditional bricks and mortar schools

“I love it and recommend it to everyone. I think it allows people to be who they truly are, and it leaves room for people to do the non-academic things they love.”
